June 10, 2025 marks The United Church of Canada’s 100th anniversary—an opportunity to learn from our past to prepare for the future! This will be celebrated in worship across the church on June 8, 2025.
A giant worship service is planned at Lang Pioneer Village on June 8 at 11:00 am for all our area congregations (please note that there will be no worship at Bethel that day) but the Village will be open for us all day. Come and enjoy the worship, the music, games for the kids and more - stay for a picnic (bring your own or some food truck options will be available) and tour some of the village and touch base with folks from our sister United Church congregations. More details to follow, but be sure to save the date!
MODERATOR’S VISIT
Our Moderator Carmen Lansdowne will preach at Cambridge United Church in Lindsay, On Sunday, April 6th at 10:30 am, with refreshments and a short Q & A time afterwards. If you are unable to join in person but would still like to hear the Moderator’s message, you will be able to find it on Cambridge St.’s YouTube channel.
PRAYER BOX
We believe as a community of faith that prayer is important and that praying for one another, or knowing you are prayed for, is a great blessing. You may have noticed there’s a wooden prayer box on the table as you come in for church. If there is someone or something that you would like prayer for, I will be happy to include it in my prayer time. And of course, please be assured of my prayers and support for you all, always! ~ Rev. Kim
PLEASE NOTE
Church services will continue to be held downstairs until March 30th.
FUNDSCRIPT
The prepaid gift card specials for March are Walmart 3.5% and Ultimate Dining Card (Kelsey's, Montana's, Harvey's, Swiss Chalet, East Side Marios) is 7%. The next order will be placed on March 16th with a delivery date of March 23rd.

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS If you have any announcements to share here, please send them to Kelly Kinkade at kellyedwards_21@hotmail.com
by Wednesday night each week
Like every church, we need to do fundraising to help us meet our financial commitments. So we’re inviting you to put on your thinking caps! How about a fundraiser around food? Bake Sale? Cook-off (Chili or otherwise!)? Mad Hatter Tea party? How about one around music? Concert? Music Night? Or product sales (like cookie dough or ready to bake treats)?
If you have an idea to share for a fundraiser for our church, talk to any of the Stewards or Trustees, or our Treasurer Edna. We’d love to hear it!
Prayer Shawl Ministry – We have a collection of lovely Prayer Shawls that have been knitted by a dedicated group in our church family. If you know of someone who would appreciate the love and comfort of one of these shawls, you are welcome to check with a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry or see Rev. Kim. They will be happy to send another one on its way.
No Scents Makes Good Sense! We strive to be a welcoming congregation where everyone can feel comfortable and included in our worship and fellowship life. As an increasing number of people have scent sensitivities and allergies, we are requesting that folks refrain from wearing scented products like perfume, cologne, scented after shave lotion, perfumed hand lotion and/or similar products to church. Let’s ensure that everyone who wants to join us is able to come and to remain with us, and thank you for your cooperation.
Food Bank: Please remember this very important outreach. If you prefer to make a cash donation, you may include it in your offering envelope; simply write “Food Bank”, and the amount, on your envelope, and don’t forget to make sure your name is on that envelope!
Offering Envelope Reminder – please remember to put your name and number on your envelope – it will save a lot of work and ensure you are credited with all your offerings on your annual tax receipt.
To have your announcement included in our bulletin, please email your info and any graphics/pictures (with permission from subjects) by Wednesday 4:30p.m. for the following Sunday to:
